OLIVIA — A man who led law officers on a 38-mile, high-speed chase in Renville and Redwood counties on Monday afternoon will face charges of attempted first-degree murder. Brian Noel Hester, 46, of Redwood Falls, allegedly rammed his pickup truck into a squad car while an officer sat in it, as well as pointed it directly at another deputy who had to dive out of the way to avoid being hit, according to the criminal charges against him.
OLIVIA — A suspect is in custody after leading law officers in Renville and Redwood counties on a 38-mile chase that went through the city of Morton, and included striking a patrol car before squad cars could force the suspect’s vehicle to stop in Redwood Falls. Brian Noel Hester, 46, will be arraigned Wednesday in District Court in Olivia for charges to be filed following the chase around 3:25 p.m. Monday, according to the Renville County Sheriff’s Office.

WILLMAR -- A GPS unit, spotting scope and other miscellaneous items were reported stolen from a truck Sunday while it was parked overnight in the 400 block of Eighth Street Southwest.
