WILLMAR -- Oliver Tilbert Noram, 101, of Willmar and formerly of Jeffers and Bertha, died Saturday at Bethesda Heritage in Willmar. The service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Bethesda Heritage Chapel. Burial will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Rest Haven Memory Garden in Windom. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at Bethesda Heritage. Arrangements are by Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar. He was born Dec. 11, 1906, at Morris, Ill., to Nels and Anna (Nelson) Noram.
MONTEVIDEO -- Trent Robert DeMaris, 17, of Montevideo, died Friday at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis. The service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Salem Lutheran Church in Montevideo. Burial will be in the Osceola Cemetery 2 in Marvin, S.D. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo. He was born Feb. 3, 1991, in Milbank, S.D. He attended school in Wilmot, S.D. In 1997, he moved with his family to Montevideo, where he attended Montevideo Public Schools.
LAKE LILLIAN -- Verona Beckler, 86, of rural Lake Lillian, died Saturday at the Golden Living Center in Olivia. The service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Bird Island United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Bird Island City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Dirks-Blem Funeral Home in Bird Island and one hour prior to the service at the church. She was born Oct. 22, 1921, at Danube to William and Lilly (Levine) Bratsch. She attended rural school and then assisted local families with housekeeping. She married Vernon Beckler on Dec. 12, 1938, in Olivia.
Sept. 18, 1939 - Sept. 7, 2008 BIG LAKE -- Michael John Schaller, 68, of Big Lake, died Sunday in Monticello. He suffered from cancer. The service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Crossroads Community United Methodist Church in Spicer. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, with a Masonic service at 8 p.m., at the church. Arrangements are by the Twin Cities Cremation. He was born Sept. 18, 1939, in Montevideo to Jesse and Lorraine (Ness) Schaller. He attended Montevideo schools and graduated in 1958. He was a meat manager for the Red Owl Corp.
WILLMAR -- Myrtle Ogren 102, of Willmar, died Aug. 26 at Bethesda Pleasantview. The service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Bethel Lutheran Church in Willmar. Burial will be in Cloverleaf Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements are by Harvey Anderson Funeral Home of Willmar. She was born March 5, 1906, in Willmar to John and Emma (Olson) Sandin. She grew up in Willmar and graduated from Willmar High School in 1924. She married Victor Ogren on June 23, 1952, in Webster, S.D.

WILLMAR -- Allen Peter Tonsfeldt, 85, of Willmar died Friday at Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar. The service will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Svea Lutheran Church in Svea. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation is from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar and will continue for one hour prior to the service Tuesday at the church. He was born March 25, 1923, in La Mars, Iowa, to Hans and Julia (Kohler) Tonsfeldt. He grew up on the family farm in La Mars, Iowa. The family moved to Woodstock and later Pipestone, where they continued to farm.
MORRIS -- Esther Elizabeth Noordmans, 89, of Morris died Thursday. The service will be at 11 a.m. today at Evangelical Free Church in Morris. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery in Hancock. Visitation is for one hour prior to the service today at the church. Memorials are preferred to The Gideons International. She was born Nov. 29, 1919, near Madison, S.D., to Franklin and Caroline (Haufschild) Healy. She grew up in Hancock and graduated from Hancock High School. She attended Trinity Bible College in Minneapolis. She married Sidney Noordmans on Sept. 27, 1947, in Hancock.
WILLMAR -- Marjorie "Bonnie" A. Mohr, 84, of Atwater died Saturday at Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar. The service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. John Lutheran Church in rural Atwater. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Atwater Funeral Home and for one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the church. Memorials are preferred to St. John Lutheran Church or Bethesda Heritage Pet Therapy Program. She was born Dec. 27, 1927, in Palmyra Township, Renville County, to Henry and Anna C. (Ruden) Thode.
BURNSVILLE -- Marcus John Walsten of Farmington died Wednesday. The service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Palmyra Covenant Church in Palmyra Township, rural Hector. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Arrangements are by Hughes Funeral Home in Hector. He was stillborn Wednesday at Fairview Ridges Hospital in Burnsville, to Lance L. and Melanie A. (Olson) Walsten of Farmington. He is survived by his parents; grandparents: Trevor and Beverly Walsten of Prior Lake and Mark and Pamela Olson of Bird Island; and four great-grandmothers.
