CLARA CITY -- The Minnesota State Patrol is investigating a fatal accident east of Clara City, and traffic on state Highway 23 is being detoured around the scene. The State Patrol's website says the crash was between a tanker truck and a pickup about 3 miles east of Clara City. It was reported at 4:41 p.m. today. The report did not have any details about the drivers or specifics about the crash. Local law enforcement members were assisting, and traffic on Highway 23 was being detoured on gravel roads east of Clara City immediately afterward.
An accident with a vehicle in the ditch on Minnesota Highway 23 north of Clara City has resulted a detour tonight. Traffic is currently being detoured on local roads around the accident until the accident is cleared.
WILLMAR -- Willmar had reached the forecast high of 61 degrees mid-afternoon, according to the National Weather Service's report of the current conditions at the Willmar airport. The balmy temperatures one day before Thanksgiving were welcomed by shoppers preparing for the big day, or homeowners fitting in a few last-minute tasks to prepare their houses for winter. The Weather Service says the warm weather will come to an end, however, as a strong cold front pushes through the region Thursday. Temperatures will start out mild in the morning but then fall throughout the day.
WILLMAR -- The eighth annual Thanksgiving Day dinner will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Willmar. Everyone is welcome. In past years, the traditional turkey dinner at the church has drawn more than 200 people. Church officials have said they never lack for volunteers to both prepare the meal and work in the kitchen. There is no charge. Community donations help cover the cost of the free meal each year. The church is located at 1401 Sixth St. S.W. in Willmar.

Because of its larger size - the issue will weigh about 2 pounds. The newspaper, which is one of the best-selling editions of the year, includes nearly 20 promotional inserts, mostly from big-box stores.
CHICAGO (AP) -- Bears quarterback Jay Cutler says he is not sure if he will play this Sunday against the Vikings after missing Monday's loss at San Francisco because of a concussion. Cutler says he's "going through the process" to get cleared to return.
Those driving over the holiday may be giving thanks for the downtrend in gas prices, but the national average is still the highest ever for the holiday. According to a news release from the fuel price research site GasBuddy.com, the national average will be $3.43 per gallon on Thanksgiving, about 10 cents higher than it was in 2011. In Minnesota, gas prices currently average $3.27 per gallon.
WILLMAR -- The Thanksgiving holiday forecast is looking good for travelers and holiday shoppers with unseasonable temperatures expected in west central and southwest Minnesota. The National Weather Service Twin Cities office in Chanhassen forecasts warm temperatures and clear skies today and Thursday across the region, before turning blustery and colder Friday and into the weekend. Today's temperature highs in the region are expected to reach 60 to 65, according to the National Weather Service.
