According to the Meeker County Sheriff’s Office, county dispatch received a report of a stolen vehicle around 12:50 a.m. Sunday along Meeker Avenue North in Watkins. The caller reported his vehicle was stolen and that he’d found the 1993 Mazda stuck in a snow bank in the Watkins Trailer Park.
WILLMAR — Contributions for the 2012 Warm the Children campaign are at about 64 percent of goal with just over one week to go until Christmas. Goal of this year’s drive is $40,000. Last year, the Warm the Children campaign took in $37,305, falling just short of a goal of $40,000. The donations received helped to clothe 489 children throughout the area. Now in its 18th year, the Warm the Children campaign has helped more than 6,900 children from more than 2,530 families over the past 18 years.
