WILLMAR—Jake Kuschke has joined the Christianson & Associates team as a staff accountant. Kuschke is from Mahtomedi and is a recent graduate of the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth with a double major in accounting and finance. Raeann Sorenson has been named an intern. Sorenson is a graduate from Ridgewater College and is attending St. Cloud State University, studying for an accounting degree. From Brooten, Sorenson expects to graduate in December.
WILLMAR—Dr. Nathaniel Slinkard, orthopedic surgeon, has joined the medical staff at Affiliated Community Medical Centers. He will begin seeing patients in September at the Willmar location. Slinkard is originally from New Prague and received his bachelor's degree from St. John's University in Collegeville. He earned his doctor of medicine from the University of Minnesota Medical School. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Henry Ford Hospital/ Wayne State University in Detroit.
NEW ULM—Upper Midwest Management Corporation has added two new members to its staff. Terri Jensen has been named vice president of real estate/appraisal operations, and Andrew McCarthy has joined the farm management team. Jensen is one of only 12 licensed realtors who have earned the accredited land consultant designation from the Realtors Land Institute. With her vast experience, she will serve in listing, sale, auction, private treaty transaction, investment and other services.
WILLMAR—The second Rockin' Robbins summer concert is scheduled Tuesday evening at Robbins Island in Willmar. The headliners, Justin Ploof and the Throwbacks, will take the stage at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. The opening act, Culture Bend with Callie Nelson, will begin playing about 5 p.m. Concert visitors can hop a free shuttle to Robbins Island from three locations: Heritage Bank, Kennedy Elementary and Willmar Middle School. The shuttles will run from 4:30 to 9:30 p.m. Tuesday.

LAKE LILLIAN—Minnesota Health Commissioner Dr. Ed Ehlinger will kick off the fifth summer of "Pitch the Commissioner" events on Aug. 15 by inviting community members to discuss public health while playing a game of horseshoes in Lake Lillian. This year's first "Pitch the Commissioner" event will take place from 2:15 to 5:15 p.m. Monday at the Lake Lillian City Park. For the first hour, community members are invited to pitch a round of horseshoes with the commissioner while also pitching any public health questions, concerns or ideas on their minds.

The woman's television, air conditioning unit, and X-box game console were reported stolen, and her back door was damaged. Arrest PENNOCK—Kandiyohi County sheriff's deputies arrested a 40-year-old man for an alleged domestic assault on the 200 block of Atlantic Avenue Northwest in Pennock. The arrest happened at 3:45 a.m. Friday.
