One injured in Highway 212 crash DANUBE — A driver suffered non-life threatening injuries in a crash on U.S. Highway 212 east of Danube in Renville County at 12:10 p.m. Monday. Elijah Joseph Darwin, 36, of Granite Falls, was driving a 2002 Chrysler Sebring eastbound on Highway 212. He was unable to stop for a 2008 Chevrolet Silverado stopped for a road painting crew. The pickup was driven by Wayland Lowell Zaske, 56, of Renville, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

Lake Lillian man hurt in fall LAKE LILLIAN — A 54-year-old man was airlifted for medical care after falling about 25 feet while trimming trees around 4 p.m. Friday at a residence about 1 ½ miles east of Blomkest on state Highway 7. The Kandiyohi County Sheriff's Office reported that the man was trimming trees in the yard when a branch fell and struck the ladder causing him to fall.
This is the records summary for July 15. Two escape burning house in rural Meeker County LITCHFIELD — A homeowner and guest safely escaped a house fire that broke out as they were sleeping at 1:15 a.m. Friday, the Meeker County Sheriff's Office reported. Homeowner Kellie Heggem and a guest got out of the home on the 31000 block of 710th Avenue, Kingston Township. Numerous cats were in the house, and all but one was accounted for, according to the Sheriff's Office.

Search warrant WILLMAR — Two people were arrested Thursday morning after law enforcement executed a search warrant at 5:36 a.m. in the 200 block of Augusta Avenue Southeast. Two men, ages 22 and 23, were arrested during the search. They have not been formally charged or appeared in court yet. Numerous officers from the Willmar Police Department, the Kandiyohi County Sheriff's Office and the CEE-VI Drug and Gang Task Force participated in the operation. Theft
This is the records summary for July 13. No-knock search warrant WILLMAR — Three people were arrested Wednesday morning after more than a dozen law enforcement officers executed a no-knock search warrant in the 100 block of Gay Street Southeast in Willmar. A 34-year-old man, a 25-year-old man and a 45-year-old woman were arrested. They have not yet been formally charged. Officers involved in the effort were from the Willmar Police Department, Kandiyohi County Sheriff's Office and the CEE-VI Drug and Gang Task Force.
BENSON — Starting on July 17, motorists will find intermittent lane closures and delays on state Highway 9, U.S. Highway 12 and state Highway 29 in Benson as crews mill and pave the highways. Preparatory work may begin before Monday, the Minnesota Department of Transportation said in a news release. When work begins, flaggers will direct traffic around the work zones.
