This is the records summary for May 30. Blomkest man dies in Big Kandi Lake LAKE LILLIAN — A Blomkest man died Friday at Big Kandiyohi Lake near Lake Lillian. The body of Kim Stahl, 56, of Blomkest, was found shortly after 6 p.m. Friday floating in Big Kandi Lake, according to news releases from the Kandiyohi County Sheriff's Office over the weekend. The fishermen pulled his body from the lake and started CPR, according to the release. Stahl was pronounced dead at Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar.

Korean War and Navy aviation veteran Leonard Isdahl places American flags
WILLMAR — Willmar veterans raised the Flags of Honor on Friday on the east side of Willmar Lake. Squads of veterans from the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Disabled American Veterans, AMVets and others placed flags on the graves of every veteran in the area. On Memorial Day, the veterans will visit each cemetery where they will read the roll call, fire a rifle salute and play taps. More than 1,900 flags were put on veterans' graves.
