This is the records summary for Feb. 23. Crash WILLMAR — Two vehicles were involved in a crash at 8:52 a.m. Thursday and the intersection of Fifth Street and 19th Avenue Southeast in Willmar. According to the police incident report, a Chevrolet Tahoe driven by Vivian Gutierrez was turning left onto Fifth Street Southeast from 19th Avenue and failed to yield the right of way to a Nissan driven by Jon Habedank, which was traveling westbound on 19th Avenue.

WILLMAR — The Diamond Edge Figure Skaters present "On the Edge of Royalty" at 7 p.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. Sunday at the Willmar Civic Center. Over 50 skaters from age 3 to adult will take to the ice to highlight kings, queens and the staff that surround royalty. The show will feature familiar musical renditions and include a lights-out number, which is always an audience favorite. Solo skates will be presented by April Goff, and seniors Ashlyn Bergh and Kayla Norling. There will be three guest skaters from the St. Paul Figure Skating Club.

This is the records summary for Feb. 21 Teen escapes injury in rollover DANUBE — Icy roads may be to blame for a one-vehicle rollover late Monday night south of Danube. According to the Renville County Sheriff's Department, Kaleb Johnson, 18, of Redwood Falls, was driving a 2002 Chevy Impala north on County Road 1 when he lost control of the vehicle, which went into the ditch and rolled.
WILLMAR — Matt Itterman, senior accountant at Conway, Deuth & Schmiesing in Willmar, has earned the certified valuation analyst credential from the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts. The credential is only given to those with considerable professional experience in business valuation.
WILLMAR — Joel Niewbeerta of Marcus Construction in Willmar has been named a Rising Star by the Agricultural Retailers Association. Niewbeerta was recognized during the association's annual conference in November in Arizona. Niewbeerta was nominated by Marcus Construction for the honor because he exemplifies the qualities of a developing leader in the industry. About 700 retailers and representatives of the agriculture industry came to Phoenix for a three-day conference about the current topics in agriculture.
WILLMAR — A snow emergency goes into effect at 10 p.m. tonight for Willmar's central business district. It expires at 6 a.m. Wednesday. The affected area extends from First Street to Seventh Street Southwest and from Trott Avenue to the bypass. Vehicles may use city parking lots to park cars that would normally use these city streets. Any vehicles left on the streets during the snow emergency timeframe will be towed at the owner's expense, according to the Willmar Public Works Department.
WILLMAR — Hormel Foods Corporation, parent company of Jennie-O Turkey Store, has named Jeff Baker as the new group vice president for deli. In this role Baker will lead the deli offerings across Hormel, including Jennie-O's deli division. The new group will work to offer innovative solutions for retailers to expand deli. Baker was previously the group vice president of food service.
WILLMAR — Cost Cutters in the Kandi Mall in Willmar is welcoming a new manager and a new stylist. Danielle Needham has been named the new manager. She has seven years of experience as a stylist, doing both men's and women's cuts as well as specialty waxing and on-trend hair coloring.
