Jack A. Skrukrud suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the 7:52 a.m. crash, the State Patrol said. Skrukrud's 1999 Chevy Suburban was T-boned by the semi as he turned onto Highway 23 from state Highway 9.

KERKHOVEN — Riverview Dairy LLP of Morris is proposing to construct a fourth large dairy farm west of Willmar. Louriston Dairy is proposed for a 127-acre site in Louriston Township of Chippewa County near the intersection of County Road 3 and Minnesota Highway 40, which is about seven miles southwest of Kerkhoven. Riverview is seeking to permit the operation for 9,500 animal units, which would consist of 8,670 dairy cows and 1,180 heifers.

Officer Ben Hanneman, 28, had been on his way to training in the Twin Cities at the time of the 5:40 a.m. crash Monday. According to Police Chief Jim Felt, Hanneman had been driving an unmarked 2005 White Dodge Ram pickup truck.

Crash knocks out power WILLMAR — Power to an area along Kandiyohi County Road 5 northwest of Willmar was temporarily knocked out Sunday morning after a vehicle went into the ditch and hit a power box. The driver, who was not identified, apparently was not injured but nearby residents were without power until the damage could be repaired. The outage also darkened the lights on the Q102 radio tower on County Road 5.
