ATWATER - A chilly and blustery afternoon didn't stop Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City and Minnewaska from playing a pair of highly competitive games on Tuesday afternoon. The two teams split the pair of contests, with the Lakers pulling out a late comeback 3-2 victory in the first game and the Falcons rebounded to cap off the afternoon with a 5-3 win.
WILLMAR—Several area teams competed in the Willmar Invitational track and field tournament on Thursday at Hodapp Field. The field included Willmar, Central Minnesota Christian School and New London-Spicer. Results were not available at the Tribune's press time on Thursday night.

WILLMAR - The Ridgewater softball team lost a pair to Minnesota State-Fergus Falls Friday afternoon at Ridgewater College. Tarryn Justeson no-hit the Warriors in a 9-0, five-inning victory in the first game, but the Warriors' offense picked up steam in the second game with three runs in the first two innings. Seven errors and five walks proved to be the downfall for the Warriors in a 7-4 loss as all Fergus Falls were unearned. Ridgewater will be back on the diamond on Tuesday as they host Minnesota West. Maple Lake's Cali Maki hit three home runs and drove in eight runs to lead the Lakers to a 23-2 win over Litchfield in a Wright County Conference game on Thursday.

Montevideo boys followed up with a second place finish while ACGC girls earned a second place finish ahead of BOLD/BLHS who finished third in the boys and girls division.
