WORTHINGTON — The Ridgewater volleyball team prepped for the MCAC Crossover Tournament as if it were something bigger and the Warriors played that way. Ridgewater thumped Rainy River in three games and won a tough match against Central Lakes in five games on Thursday during the tournament's first day.

BROWERVILLE — Brandin Dahl ran for 184 yards and two touchdowns and Caleb Collins and Josh Peterson also ran for scores as KMS soundly defeated Browerville 27-6 on the road on Wednesday. The 4-4 Saints open the Section 4A playoffs against Lester Prairie-Holy Trinity at 7 p.m. Tuesday in Lester Prairie. KMS opened a 21-0 lead in the first half, with Dahl scoring on runs of 1 and 3 yards. Collins punched in a score from a yard out and he also added a 2-point conversion run after Dahl's second TD. Peterson scored from 5 yards out in the fourth quarter.

LITCHFIELD — The Litchfield volleyball team ended the regular season in style, notching their 20th win of the season with a three-game sweep of Annandale in a Wright County Conference match on Tuesday. Litchfield, now 20-7, got 18 kills from Hallie Euerle and 13 from Macy Huhner added 13. Brynne Wahl had 35 set assists and three ace serves.
