BIRD ISLAND — A residential structure fire on the 100 block of 8th Street South in Bird Island late Thursday evening is believed to have been electrical in nature.
According to a report from the Renville County Sheriff's Office, the fire was reported at 11:44 p.m. April 30. The fire was located near the fuse box , and the house sustained moderate damage. One individual at the residence during the fire reportedly escaped without injury.
The Bird Island Fire Department, Bird Island MRU, Olivia Fire & Rescue and Renville County Sheriff’s Office assisted with the fire.
