Amber Johnson joins Carris Health main clinic in Willmar

Amber Johnson joined the Carris Health Obstetrics and Gynecology team November in the Willmar main clinic, according to a news release from the hospital.

WILLMAR — Amber Johnson joined the Carris Health obstetrics and gynecology team November in the Willmar main clinic , according to a news release from the health system.

Johnson is a board certified women’s health nurse practitioner with areas of interest including well-woman care, adolescent to menopausal gynecological health, prenatal and postpartum care, sexual health and contraceptive counseling, menopausal symptom management, and gynecological cancer surveillance.

She earned her bachelor's in nursing from Bemidji State University and went on for her master's in nursing with a specialization in women’s health from Regis College in Weston, Massachusetts.

Johnson comes to the Willmar area with more than eight years of experience providing direct patient care on a postpartum and gynecology surgical floor. In her most recent position, she served as a nurse practitioner with a gynecology and oncology clinic.
