WILLMAR - A discussion on international trade and tariffs will be held from 7 to 9 a.m. Sept. 20 at the Willmar Conference Center.
Acting Consul General of Canada Suzanne Cormie and Jeff Phillips, international trade manager for the Minnesota Department of Agriculture, will talk about the importance of trade in North America and worldwide. There will be a moderated question-and-answer session to follow, moderated by the President of the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce Doug Loon.
Event participants will learn more about how tariffs impact ag producers, area businesses and consumers.
The event is being held by the Willmar Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce and the Kandiyohi County & City of Willmar Economic Development Commission and costs $15 to attend. Those wanting to attend should RSVP by Sept. 18 at firstname.lastname@example.org.
