WILLMAR — Jeff Miller has been named the new dean of instruction for Ridgewater College. He joins the college after serving as the career pathway director for the Minnesota State System Office and began his Ridgewater duties Nov. 13.

Miller’s primary responsibilities will be working with technical programs based on the Willmar campus, including construction, agriculture, health care, cosmetology, public safety, automotive trades and others. He fills a position vacated when Mike Kutzke was promoted to vice president of student success.

In addition to comprehensive career pathway experience at the state level, Miller brings experience as an education director with the Minnesota Department of Corrections. He also served as a director of academics at Pine Technical and Community College and as construction management faculty at South Central College in Mankato.

Miller holds a master’s degree in construction management from North Dakota State University in Fargo, a bachelor’s in education from Dickinson State University in Dickinson, North Dakota, and a certificate of residential construction. He is in the process of earning a doctorate degree in higher education administration from Grand Canyon University.

Miller and his wife are relocating from Isanti.
