GRANITE FALLS — Minnesota West Community & Technical College’s Dean of Student Services Rebecca Weber has been selected as the 2020 recipient of the Minnesota State Colleges & Universities ASA Outstanding Student Affairs Administrator Award, according to a news release from the college.
The Academic and Student Affairs Division of Minnesota State works with system institutions to identify and meet shared priorities so they can better serve their students and communities. These awards are for administrators at the director, dean or vice president levels who have made significant contributions to the development of academic or student affairs programming at their institutions.
Weber was recognized at the ASA conference virtual ceremony Nov. 13.
The award nomination for Weber was in four specific areas: Creativity or innovation in meeting the emerging needs of students, commitment to professional development of faculty and/or staff, demonstrated leadership in college/university and community affairs and high level of administrative ability, demonstrated by effective responses to institutional challenges.
Minnesota West has campuses in Canby, Granite Falls, Jackson, Pipestone and Worthington along with learning centers in Marshall and Luverne.
