WILLMAR — Brianna Bredeson, staff accountant with Westberg Eischens in Willmar, has passed the Uniform CPA Examination, the legal requirement for becoming a certified public accountant, according to a news release from the firm.
The CPA exam consists of four, four-hour sections: auditing and attestation, business environment and concepts, financial accounting and reporting and regulation. Candidates must pass all four sections within 18 months, earning a minimum score of 75 on each part. According to the American Institute of CPAs, the national pass rate is just over 50%.
Bredeson is a 2019 graduate of Southwest Minnesota State University in Marshall where she received two bachelor's degrees in accounting and finance.
