Liz Dyrdal leads JCPenney salon
WILLMAR -- Liz Dyrdal has been promoted to the position of salon leader at JCPenney at the Kandi Mall, 1605 First St. S., in Willmar, effective Nov. 1.
She is a graduate of Crookston High School and received her training at Joseph's School of Hair Design in Grand Forks, N.D. She has experience at the JCPenney Salon in Glendale, Ariz., and in Willmar.
Heartland names Sarkar HR manager
WILLMAR -- Heartland Community Action Agency announces that Abhi Sarkar has joined the organization as human resources and administrative manager.

Sarkar will manage the human resources function for Heartland's network of offices in Willmar, Litchfield, Olivia, Hutchinson and Cosmos.
Sarkar brings 13 years of professional experience in human resources management to Heartland. He has served as manager of human resources with Fortune 50 companies including retail, industrial and information technology industries.
Sarkar received his bachelor's degree in India, his master's degree in personnel management and industrial relations from BHU University in India, and his master's in human resources management under the master of business administration curriculum from Marymount University in Virginia.
Sarkar and his wife and two children live in Savage.
LuLu Bean's expands to ACMC
WILLMAR -- LuLu Bean's Coffee House will be expanding in Willmar by opening a new location in the Affiliated Community Medical Centers medical building.
LuLu Bean's owner Laurie Swanson says the clinic location will feature the same coffee, lattes, specialty drinks, sandwiches, croissants and homemade soups as its main location on First Street.
The ACMC site is expected to open Nov. 16.
