Cash Wise of Willmar to celebrate remodeling project with a grand re-opening

The Cash Wise grocery store in Willmar has undergone a major remodeling project. With work completed, Coborn's Inc. is planning a grand re-opening event for the store on Feb. 9.

WILLMAR — In celebration of completing a major remodeling project at its Willmar Cash Wise location, Coborn's Inc. is holding a grand re-opening celebration at 4 p.m. Feb. 9 at the store, located at 1300 Fifth St. S.E.

The store, first opened in 1979 and the company's first Cash Wise in Minnesota, underwent significant upgrades in both its grocery and liquor sections, a news release from the company said. The upgrades included an expanded floral department, designated area for curb-side pickup, an in-store meat smoker, a relocated Bake Shoppe, new refrigeration and freezers and updated lighting across the store.

A full-service pharmacy with a drive-thru is now part of the store's offerings.

The Willmar store also now has an expanded beverage, snacks and candy assortment, newly added ethnic food varieties and new offerings in meat and seafood.
