WILLMAR -- Coborn's Inc. of St. Cloud announces that the Cash Wise Foods store in Willmar has been named the company's Store of the Year for 2011.
The Willmar store, led by manager Jim Polk and assistant manager Mary Bjornson, was selected for its operational excellence, financial performance and commitment to customer satisfaction.
"Cash Wise Foods stores operate on pillars of low price, variety and ad value," said Coborn's Chief Operating Officer Bob Thueringer. "Over the past year, the Willmar store has embraced these pillars and made them integral components of their daily operations."
The Willmar store is committed to providing assorted quality products at a low price. As inflation continues to affect food prices, the store has focused on helping customers stretch their grocery
The store also donates approximately 83,200 pounds of bakery products to The Salvation Army and local food shelves per year.

Coborn President and Chief Executive Officer Chris Coborn said the Willmar team deserves this recognition.
Cash Wise Foods opened in Willmar in 1979 as the original Cash Wise Foods store. The store was then rebuilt at its current location at 1300 Fifth St. S.E. in 1984. The store now employs 229 people, including 50 full-time employees.
