MINNEAPOLIS — Dr. Marilyn Peitso was installed as the 154th president of the Minnesota Medical Association during its Sept. 24 virtual annual conference, according to a news release from the association.
She is currently a pediatric hospitalist with CentraCare in St. Cloud and her term, which officially began Oct. 1, lasts one year.
Peitso has served in several positions with the association since 1983, including serving as the foundation board president.
Outside of her involvement with the Minnesota Medical Association, Peitso is a past president of the Minnesota Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She received the 2011 Spirit of Women Health Care Hero award for her work with health care homes.
