Supporting farm youth in stress: Dec. 7-10, 8:30 to 9:15 a.m., online. The Minnesota Department of Agriculture presents Monica Kramer McConkey in interactive sessions to help you develop insights and skills to recognize, understand and support farm children and adolescents experiencing stress. It is designed for teachers, coaches, school counselors, school administrators, 4-H leaders, scout leaders, FFA advisers, pastors, youth pastors and youth leaders, social workers, mental health professionals, health care providers, and others who interact with farm youth. 2020 Soil Health Summit: Dec. 15-16. The annual University of Minnesota Soil Health Summit will be held Dec. 15-16 in an online format because of COVID-19. The statewide conference on conservation tillage features applied science information from the University of Minnesota, Iowa State University, North Dakota State University and Manitoba Agriculture, as well as farmers with direct experience in no-till and reduced tillage methods and cover crops. The cost of the event is $50; however, scholarships are available from most county Soil and Water Conservation Districts as well as the Minnesota Corn Growers Association and the Minnesota Soybean Growers Association.
