WILLMAR — Signs bearing the new Carris Health CentraCare name and logo began making their debut this week in Willmar.

A crew with Scenic Sign Co. of St. Cloud was in town to install new signage on the east side of Carris Health — Rice Memorial Hospital. The process, which was completed Thursday, took two days plus two cranes and a scaffold to reach the site, 60 to 70 feet above the ground.

New signs also were installed this week for the Carris Health Cancer Center. The installation of street-level monument signs will happen over the next month.

The new signage is part of a systemwide rebranding that began this summer for all the hospital and clinic buildings within Carris Health, the new nonprofit subsidiary of CentraCare Health that was created in January 2018 through a merger of Rice Memorial Hospital and Affiliated Community Medical Centers.

The entire process of installing new signs for each building will be completed in the summer of 2020.
