MORGAN — John Husk has been selected by the Farmward Cooperative board of directors as the new chief executive officer of the cooperative.
According to a news release from the co-op, Husk comes to Farmward with more than 40 years of leadership experience in farm supply and grain marketing and will assume his role as CEO on Oct. 18.
Most recently, Husk served as the chief operating officer for Agtegra Cooperative in Aberdeen, South Dakota.
Husk’s career spans several decades with numerous companies and in various roles, including general manager for Kentucky at Southern States Cooperative in Richmond, Virginia; president and CEO of Elburn Cooperative Company in. Sycamore, Illinois; sales manager at Babcock Genetics in Rochester, Minnesota; general manager/CEO at FreMar Farmers Cooperative in, Marion, South Dakota; and manager at Huntting Elevator in Austin, Minnesota.
He also spent time on numerous industry boards, including Dakotaland Feeds, Tulare Fertilizer, James Valley Grain, Dakota Valley Grain, CHS Managers Advisory Board, and Agriliance Managers Board.
