Kottke Trucking acquires another firm

Kottke Trucking purchases Wayne T. Fellows Inc.

BUFFALO LAKE — Kottke Trucking of Buffalo Lake has acquired Davenport, Florida-based Wayne T. Fellows, a trucking company that specializes in refrigerated less-than-truckload and truckload services.

The business move will add 43 drivers and 22 non-driving positions in accounting, warehouse, dispatch and shop to Kottke Trucking. The company's operations in Buffalo Lake and Eagan, as well as its terminal in Wildwood, Florida, will continue. Terminals in Davenport and Winter Haven, Florida will be added.

The latest purchase is the second acquisition Kottke has completed in three years. In 2016 it bought Walbon & Company's over-the-road division.

Kottke Trucking, a third-generation family owned business, was founded in 1938 and provides refrigerated, dry freight and dedicated services. It operates more than 200 tractors.
