WILLMAR -- Several Willmar business people are involved this year in Junior Achievement, a program for students to learn about the relationship between education and workplace success.
According to chairwoman Michelle D. Marotzke, Junior Achievement of Willmar is entering its ninth year and has impacted 195 classrooms and 4,700 students.
The current officers on the board of directors include Marotzke from Jennie-O Turkey Store, vice chair Toni Sing, Taatjes Financial Group; treasurer Janell Williams, Westberg Eischens; and secretary Tom Gilbertson, Gilbertson Management Group.
Other volunteer board members include Tim Erickson, Hansen Advertising; Christina Wordes, Conway, Deuth and Schmiesing; Kelly O'Farrell, Christianson & Associates; Liz Vanderbill, Christianson & Associates; Beth Fischer, Willmar Lakes Area Convention and Visitors Bureau; Bob Mathiasen, Heritage Bank; and Roosevelt Dean of Students Lynnelle Dirksen is the school liaison.
