WILLMAR - Joel Niewbeerta of Marcus Construction in Willmar has been named a Rising Star by the Agricultural Retailers Association. Niewbeerta was recognized during the association's annual conference in November in Arizona.
Niewbeerta was nominated by Marcus Construction for the honor because he exemplifies the qualities of a developing leader in the industry.
About 700 retailers and representatives of the agriculture industry came to Phoenix for a three-day conference about the current topics in agriculture.
