NEW LONDON — Alex Marcus has been announced as the new president of Dahmes Stainless Inc. in New London, replacing company founder Forrest Dahmes.
Dahmes, who founded the custom spray dryer manufacturing company in 1994, will continue as CEO and owner.
In Marcus’ new role as president of Dahmes Stainless, he is responsible for setting the strategic direction of the company, managing the company’s financials, reviewing contracts and agreements for Dahmes, and working collaboratively with other leaders in the organization to achieve company goals.
Marcus joined Dahmes Stainless’ sister company, Dahmes Contracting LLC, as vice president of operations in 2015 and will continue to serve in that role. Dahmes Contracting provides balance-of-plant engineering, procurement and construction services for Dahmes Stainless’ projects.
Prior to joining Dahmes, Marcus worked as a project manager at Marcus Construction and as vice president at Terraco Construction for nearly five years.

Marcus holds a master's of business administration in corporate finance and strategy from The Ohio State University — Fisher College of Business, and a bachelor's in civil engineering from Calvin College.
He resides in Willmar with his wife, Erin, and two children.
