Mid-Minnesota Development Commission hires Day as new executive director

WILLMAR — Mid-Minnesota Development Commission hired Eric Day March 26 as their new executive director, replacing Donn Winckler.

Day obtained a bachelor's degree in social work from Minnesota State University in Moorhead and previously served as a truancy prevention specialist for Meeker County and as a youth employment specialist, youth programs manager, and business service coordinator over the course of 13 years for Central Minnesota Jobs and Training Services Inc.

Day, who currently resides in Litchfield, will be focused on assisting businesses and other stakeholders during the current COVID-19 pandemic, while also advancing regular Mid-Minnesota Development Commission initiatives.

The Mid-Minnesota Development Commission is a regional development commission that serves the counties of Kandiyohi, McLeod, Meeker and Renville.
