ST. PAUL - The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency completed 43 enforcement cases in the fourth quarter of 2016, bringing the year total to 146.
Those cases also totaled $1,173,948 in penalties, with the 43 cases from the last three months of year bringing $260,000 in penalties.
The MPCA has 52 enforcement investigations still ongoing, with 17 opened in the fourth quarter.
