MILAN — Auctioneer Nathan Fragodt, of Fragodt Auction and Real Estate in Milan, recently completed his training at Certified Auctioneers Institute, according to a news release.

Developed by the National Auctioneers Association, the training program for auction professionals takes place every year in March at Indiana University in Bloomington.

There are approximately 707 current designation holders in the world as of March 2022, and fewer than 5 percent of auctioneers nationwide have achieved status, according to the news release from the National Auctioneers Association.

The three-year designation is an intensive, executive development program offering professional auctioneers instruction and coursework in business management, ethics, communication, finance, data protection, strategic planning and marketing.
