WILLMAR — Shoppers headed to Kandi Mall in Willmar for the first time in weeks after its doors were reopened to the public on Monday. Non-critical businesses, like retail stores and main street businesses, were allowed to reopen their doors Monday with limitations after Gov. Tim Walz issued a new executive order that eased restrictions during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The mall, which houses many businesses that are deemed non-essential, is now able to operate at 50% capacity and has different operating hours. Signs posted near the front entrance encourage customers to wear masks or face protection. Some merchants are requiring them to enter the store.
