HUTCHINSON — Ridgewater College has opened a student massage center on its Hutchinson campus, according to a news release from the school.

The center opened Jan. 21 as an expansion of the massage therapy program from the Willmar campus. The Hutchinson program is currently full with eight students.

First-semester students spend their time learning massage modalities, techniques and best practices, and then practicing them on each other and on college students and employees through chair massages.

The new Hutchinson massage center is open to the public most Fridays. The Willmar campus center is open Saturdays.

To learn more, go to www.ridgewater.edu/massage or contact the center at massagecenter.hutchinson@ridgewater.edu or 320-234-8530.
