Ridgewater recognized for agriculture education

WILLMAR -- Ridgewater College was one of six agricultural education programs in the country to receive the Outstanding Postsecondary/Adult Agricultural Education Program Award for 2017 from the National Association of Agricultural Educators.

WILLMAR - Ridgewater College was one of six agricultural education programs in the country to receive the Outstanding Postsecondary/Adult Agricultural Education Program Award for 2017 from the National Association of Agricultural Educators.

The Ridgewater program has a 100 percent job-related placement for students. There are 12 program educators who help prepare students for the ever-changing agriculture field by teaching in areas such as agriculture sales and farm management. Students in the agriculture program must complete two internships before finishing the program.

Each of the winners was recognized at the association convention in Nashville, Tennessee. The award is sponsored by Monsanto.
