WILLMAR - After 30 years, Galen Seehusen is retiring from his work with the city of Willmar.
He worked as a Public Works Department operator.
Seehusen started in 1980, working at the Civic Center. He then moved to the Parks Department in 1987. When the Parks and Street Departments were merged into Public Works, he became an operator.
Seehusen was one of five employees certified as a pesticide applicator, was a snowplow driver on the north side, mowed city parks and assisted with other field maintenance jobs.
