Willmar Police subdue man, take into custody after standoff at residence

The Duluth Transit Authority parked its fleet of seven electric buses in late November to address issues with hill braking and heat. The buses were introduced in October, and were purchased via federal grant as a way of testing electric technology in Duluth's cold weather and hilly streets.

A major resurfacing project on U.S. Highway 71 north of Willmar  will receive the 2018 merit award for bituminous surfacing during a March event hosted by the Minnesota Asphalt Pavement Association in conjunction with the Minnesota Department of Transportation. The project included the addition of six new left-turn lanes, a right-turn lane and a bypass lane, as well as a pedestrian underpass.
