WILLMAR -- The name of United Building Centers retail store, located on Highway 12 East in Willmar, has been changed to ProBuild. UBC and its sister divisions were acquired by ProBuild in the early spring of 2006. The name of other UBC centers was also changed.
The Willmar store has six employees. Winter hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 7:30 a.m. to noon Saturday. Summer hours are 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday.
ProBuild is the nation's largest supplier of building materials to professional contractors. The northern division has more than 3,500 employees, 154 retail centers, 8 distribution centers, 11 truss plants, 25 construction companies, 9 millwork companies, 6 rental stores and 16 truss-panel operations in 17 states.
