Vanessa Reyes of Willmar receives award from Minnesota Social Service Association

This award honors professionals from the health and human service field who routinely demonstrate outstanding service to their clients, colleagues, and workplace.

WILLMAR — The Minnesota Social Service Association Region 6 Chapter recognized Vanessa Reyes as its 2021 Outstanding Staff Achievement award recipient, according to a news release from the association.

This award honors professionals from the health and human service field who routinely demonstrate outstanding service to their clients, colleagues and workplace.

Reyes is an outreach worker at The Salvation Army in Willmar. She leads The Salvation Army’s coat drive as well as the organization’s Thanksgiving and Christmas food distribution programs. She also works one-on-one with clients, assisting with job applications, and providing connections to resources.

The Minnesota Social Service Association is a membership association of health and human service professionals in Minnesota. The Region 6 Chapter covers Big Stone, Chippewa, Kandiyohi, Lac qui Parle, McLeod, Meeker, Renville, Swift, and Yellow Medicine counties.
