RELCO grows up
RELCO president Loren Corle pauses with grandson, Beckett Haugen, in front of the stainless steel fabricating company's new corporate office building on Aug. 28 in Willmar's Industrial Park. Corle started the company in 1982, not long after graduation from the Willmar Community and Technical College welding program. The company makes specialized equipment for the dairy and cheese industry. It has offices in four countries represented by the flags, at right, of the U.S., Brazil, New Zealand and the Netherlands. The new office building is twice as large as its former location at the manufacturing plant a block away. The expansion will allow the company's engineering department to take on bigger projects and more of them.
