Walgreens store in Willmar closed temporarily Wednesday, has re-opened Thursday

WILLMAR — The Walgreens in Willmar, on the corner of First Street and Willmar Avenue Southeast, has re-opened and conducting normal business operations.

WILLMAR — The Walgreens in Willmar, on the corner of First Street and Willmar Avenue Southeast, was closed temporarily late Tuesday.

A sign seen posted on the store's door Wednesday confirmed it was "Temporarily Closed as we continue to make safety our #1 priority" and apologize for any inconvenience.

The sign also said the nearest open Walgreens location is on Division Street in St. Cloud.

There was no update regarding the Willmar building's closing on the Willmar Walgreens store's Facebook page. The last post on the page was in late June.

A pharmacy staff member at Walgreens in St. Cloud, who declined to give his name, confirmed Wednesday evening that the Willmar store was closed for cleaning and was expected to re-open later Wednesday evening or Thursday at the latest.

Customers with additional questions can call the St. Cloud store at 320-251-9433.
