WCI hires Schulte, Fredeen, Amundson

WILLMAR -- West Central Industries JobLink in Willmar has hired Amy Schulte as a day treatment and habilitation skills development supervisor. Prior to her hiring, Schulte spent two years working for Greater Minnesota Family Services with at-risk youth. Before that, she worked for Divine House.

Schulte will use her B.A. in applied psychology and her extensive experience to help people with disabilities gain work skills and reach their goals and will work with the skills development team to mentor new staff.

Vel Fredeen has been hired as a day treatment and habilitation crew supervisor. Fredeen will assist people with developmental disabilities, brain injuries or mental health challenges to gain job skills at WCI's recycling center site. She will guide new employees as they learn their new job, work as team members and complete projects. Previously, Fredeen was employed by Bethesda Nursing Home. She lives in Spicer with her husband, Brad. She has two adult children and two grandchildren.

WCI has hired Derek Amundson as a recycling supervisor for the Kandiyohi County Recycling Center. Amundson will supervise various work areas, prepare tons of bailed paper, plastic, cardboard and aluminum for transport and supervise client workers. Prior to working for WCI, Amundson worked for Oakes Lawn Care and Construction. He lives in Spicer and has one daughter.
