West central Minnesota sports medicine surgeon co-authors three studies

ALEXANDRIA — Dr. Emily Monroe, a sports medicine surgeon at Heartland Orthopedic Specialists, has co-authored three studies recently published in national journals.

Monroe and her colleagues published studies on ACL repair for children, hip surgery and treating bone tumors. They were published, respectively, in the The American Journal of Sports Medicine, Arthroscopy and The Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery.

Since 2018 Monroe has co-authored a total of six articles, published nationally and internationally in peer-reviewed surgical and medical journals.

Heartland Orthopedic Specialists has offices in Willmar, Morris, Appleton, Graceville, Wadena and Fergus Falls.
