WILLMAR - Three Willmar businesses were among the 31 Minnesota Pollution Control Agency enforcement cases completed in the fourth quarter of 2018 and were fined for the violations.
Northside Storage-Willmar LLC was fined $9,310 for stormwater violations. Heidecker Brothers was fined $4,130 for construction stormwater violations. Dan's Diesel Inc. was fined $3,780 for construction stormwater violations.
All totaled, the MPCA fined the 31 violators $158,000.
In 2018 the MPCA completed 194 enforcement cases and leveraged $1,062,440 in fines.
In the fourth quarter of 2018, the MPCA continued to investigate 32 cases, 19 of which were newly opened.
