WILLMAR - For the second year in a row, Willmar Community Addiction Recovery Enterprise (C.A.R.E.) program that specializes in helping people with mental illness overcome addiction has received a Governor’s Safety Award for outstanding or continuing improvement in workplace safety.
C.A.R.E. Willmar provides inpatient and outpatient services to adults and outpatient services to adolescents with substance abuse disorders. The program specializes in treatment for people with chemical dependency and other co-occurring issues, such as mental illness. C.A.R.E. Willmar also received a Governor’s Safety Award in 2013.
 For 80 years, the Governor’s Safety Awards have spotlighted Minnesota employers with excellent safety performance and safety programs. The Minnesota Department of Human Services operates the C.A.R.E. Willmar program.
