Willmar Lakes Area CVB director Beth Fischer appointed to state board

Beth Fischer, executive director of the Willmar Lakes Area Convention and Visitors Bureau, has been appointed to the board of the Minnesota Association of CVB, according to a news release from the organization.

WILLMAR — Beth Fischer, executive director of the Willmar Lakes Area Convention and Visitors Bureau, has been appointed to the Minnesota Association of Convention and Visitor Bureaus.

She will serve a two-year term from January 2022 to December 2023, according to a news release from the organization.

The Willmar Lakes Area CVB is a division of the Willmar Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce. As director, Fischer is responsible for the administrative, operating and marketing functions of the organization whose goal is to bring conventions and visitors to the Willmar Lakes Area.

The Minnesota Association of Convention and Visitors Bureaus is a statewide membership organization representing Minnesota’s tourism industry. Fischer joins its 12-member, all-volunteer board of directors responsible for setting the strategic direction of the organization. The board helps shape policy priorities and provides input and counsel on development opportunities for members and the organization.
