The historical engine located outside of the Kandiyohi County Historical Society is getting is getting a face lift with help from the BNSF Railway Foundation. The historical society received funding from the foundation to conserve the
Great Northern Railway Engine #2523
which includes removing the old fence around the engine, cleaning the roof and installing netting to try and keep the birds out.

3/3: The fence around the Great Northern Railway Engine #2523 was removed Tuesday outside of the Kandiyohi County Historical Society in Willmar.
