Patriotic breakfast

MORTON — The fifth annual patriotic pancake breakfast fundraiser will be served from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, at the Renville County Museum in Morton. Freewill donation plus a non-perishable item for the Renville County Food Shelf.

FOREST CITY — The Butch Weseman Memorial Tractor Pull will begin at 10 a.m. Sept. 8 in Forest City. There will be classes from 3,000 pounds to 12,500 pounds, with no speed limit or tire rules. Fee of $20 a hook with proceeds donated to the Ronald McDonald House.

Kenzie Kelash and Brandon Ritt

NEW LONDON — A ham dinner benefit for Kenzie Kelash and Brandon Ritt who were in a motorcycle accident will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, at the American Legion in New London. A driver in a car didn’t see them, made a U-turn and hit them on their cycle. Kelash suffered multiple injuries including a broken leg and back injuries. Ritt had multiple injuries including his right leg being amputated. Ham dinner is $10, kids' chicken strips and fries meal is $5, baked goods for sale, silent auction, bucket raffle. Donations may also be sent to Kelash-Ritt Benefit at the Lake Region Bank in New London and Willmar.

Children of Destiny Home

WILLMAR — A pasta dinner to raise money for the Children of Destiny Home in Tanzania will be served from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, at Community Christian School in Willmar. Ten percent of the proceeds will go the CCS scholarship fund. Silent auction, pie auction, speakers and project presentation. Tickets are $10 for adults and $3 for kids. WILLMAR — The Friends of the Library used book sale will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 20, and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, at the Willmar Public Library.

Noon Lions

WILLMAR — The Willmar Noon Lions will serve Dad’s Belgian Waffles from 7 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, at the Willmar Community Center. Waffles with toppings, sausage, juice, coffee and milk. Adult tickets are $8, ages 5-12 are $5, under 5 eat free.

Dancing with the Atwater Area Stars

GROVE CITY — The Atwater Area Help for Seniors presents Dancing with the Atwater Area Stars at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, at the Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City High School in Grove City. Six local couples will participate in the dancing. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for pre-show event. Advance tickets are $35 for adults, $15 for students; both are $10 more at the door. New London-Spicer Area Fund

NEW LONDON — The New London-Spicer Area Fund has opened its grant round to fund programs for projects that fit within the categories of arts, healthy communities and lifestyles, environment and large-scale and sustainable initiatives.

The fund serves the 12 northern townships of Kandiyohi County: Arctander, Burbank, Colfax, Dovre, Green Lake, Harrison, Irving, Lake Andrew, Mamre, New London, Norway Lake and Roseville. It is a citizen-driven and professionally managed ongoing resource that enables individuals to support advancements in the community.

The New London-Spicer Area Fund is a fund of the Willmar Area Community Foundation and powered by CommunityGiving, a public charity that attracts and administers charitable funds for the benefit of the local community.

E-quip Africa

WILLMAR — E-quip Africa in Willmar is accepting newer, smaller computers such as laptops and slim or compact desktops which are easier to ship. All computers need their original power supplies, cords, keyboards and mice and be in good working condition. They need to be Windows machines running Windows 7, 8.1 or 10. Habitat for Humanity

WILLMAR — Habitat for Humanity of West Central Minnesota ReStore is accepting donations of building materials, large appliances, furniture and more. All donations must be approved by staff before acceptance.
