WILLMAR — The Friends of the Library used book sale will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 20, and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, at the Willmar Public Library.
WILLMAR — The Willmar Noon Lions will serve Dad’s Belgian Waffles from 7 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, at the WIllmar Community Center. Waffles with toppings, sausage, juice, coffee and milk. Adult tickets are $8, ages 5-12 are $5, under 5 eat free.
WILLMAR — A free exchange of fall clothing will be from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, at Harvest Community Church in Willmar. All clothing will be free and you may take what you need to meet the needs of your family. Clothing donations will be accepted from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Sept. 20.
Dancing with the Atwater Area Stars
GROVE CITY — The Atwater Area Help for Seniors presents Dancing with the Atwater Area Stars at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, at the Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City High School in Grove City. Six local couples will participate in the dancing. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for pre-show event. Advance tickets are $35 for adults, $15 for students; both are $10 more at the door. Tickets available at the Atwater Area Help for Seniors office or by calling 320-974-8737.

Free paper shredding
WILLMAR — The annual paper shredding event will be from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Sept. 28, at Kensington Bank, 2800 First St. S. in Willmar. West Central Shredding will shred paper documents for free. Food and cash donations accepted for the Willmar Area Food Shelf.
Food for Kidz
NEW LONDON — A turkey dinner with all the trimmings and homemade dessert will be from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, at Peace Lutheran Church in New London. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for ages 6-10 and under 5 eat free. The proceeds will support the Food for Kidz packaging event in November.
Willmar Senior Club
WILLMAR — The Willmar Area Senior Club annual craft and gift bazaar from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, at the Willmar Community Center. Handicrafts, attic treasures, bake sale, and more. Lunch will be served all day.
New London-Spicer Area Fund
NEW LONDON — The New London-Spicer Area Fund has opened its grant round to fund programs for projects that fit within the categories of arts, healthy communities and lifestyles, environment and large-scale and sustainable initiatives. WILLMAR — E-quip Africa in Willmar is accepting newer, smaller computers such as laptops and slim or compact desktops which are easier to ship. All computers need their original power supplies, cords, keyboards and mice and be in good working condition. They need to be Windows machines running Windows 7, 8.1 or 10. Call 320-894-1680 for more information or how to donate equipment. A $25 cash donation is suggested which will help us ship the computers to West African schools.
WILLMAR — Backpacks for homeless veterans are available at the Willmar Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legions in Willmar, Spicer and New London, and the Kandiyohi County Veterans Service Office. The Willmar VFW donated the backpacks and they are filled with personal hygiene products donated by community members.
Habitat for Humanity
WILLMAR — Habitat for Humanity of West Central Minnesota ReStore is accepting donations of building materials, large appliances, furniture and more. All donations must be approved by staff before acceptance. Donations can be brought to 2424 First Street South in Willmar between 11 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, and 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Saturday.
