Free paper shredding

WILLMAR — The annual paper shredding event will be from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Sept. 28, at Kensington Bank, 2800 First St. S. in Willmar. West Central Shredding will shred paper documents for free. Food and cash donations accepted for the Willmar Area Food Shelf.

Food for Kidz

NEW LONDON — A turkey dinner with all the trimmings and homemade dessert will be from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, at Peace Lutheran Church in New London. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for ages 6-10 and under 5 eat free. The proceeds will support the Food for Kidz packaging event in November.

Project Turnabout

WILLMAR — The fourth annual Grazing Kandiyohi Style will be from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 3, at Stacy’s Nursery in Willmar. Proceeds will be used for Project Turnabout's Northside Recovery Campus for Women in Willmar. Tickets are $40 in advance, available on the Project Turnabout website, or $50 at the door.

Willmar Senior Club

WILLMAR — The Willmar Area Senior Club annual craft and gift bazaar will be from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, at the Willmar Community Center. Handicrafts, attic treasures, bake sale, and more. Lunch will be served all day.

Brew Ha Ha 5.0

WILLMAR — The United Way of West Central Minnesota and Empower: Women United present Brew Ha Ha 5.0 at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 1, at the Barn Theatre to benefit the Imagination Library program. Beer and wine sampling, appetizers and a show by comedian Mark Poolos at 8 p.m. Tickets are $35 online at liveunitedwcm.org.

New London-Spicer Area Fund

NEW LONDON — The New London-Spicer Area Fund has opened its grant round to fund programs for projects that fit within the categories of arts, healthy communities and lifestyles, environment and large-scale and sustainable initiatives. E-quip Africa

WILLMAR — E-quip Africa in Willmar is accepting newer, smaller computers such as laptops and slim or compact desktops which are easier to ship. All computers need their original power supplies, cords, keyboards and mice and be in good working condition. They need to be Windows machines running Windows 7, 8.1 or 10. Call 320-894-1680 for more information or how to donate equipment. A $25 cash donation is suggested which will help us ship the computers to West African schools.

Habitat for Humanity

WILLMAR — Habitat for Humanity of West Central Minnesota ReStore is accepting donations of building materials, large appliances, furniture and more. All donations must be approved by staff before acceptance. Donations can be brought to 2424 First Street South in Willmar between 11 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, and 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Saturday.
