Project Turnabout

WILLMAR — The fourth annual Grazing Kandiyohi Style will be from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 3, at Stacy’s Nursery in Willmar. Proceeds will be used for Project Turnabout's Northside Recovery Campus for Women in Willmar. Tickets are $40 in advance, available on the Project Turnabout website, or $50 at the door..

Willmar Senior Club

WILLMAR — The Willmar Area Senior Club annual craft and gift bazaar will be from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, at the Willmar Community Center. Handicrafts, attic treasures, bake sale, and more. Lunch will be served all day.

Swanson and Vandesteeg

PENNOCK — The Pennock Lions will serve a benefit pancake breakfast from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 6, at the Pennock Fire Hall for Mitchel Swanson, Jackie Vandesteeg and Atley. The young couple lost their house and all belongings to a house fire on Aug. 30. Freewill donation.

Grove City Lions

GROVE CITY — The Grove City Lions will serve a pancake breakfast from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 6, at the Grove City Community Center. Adult tickets are $8, ages 5-12 are $4, under 5 eat free.

Special Olympics

WILLMAR — A burger basket fundraiser will be served from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 9, at the Willmar Eagles Club to raise money for the Kandiyohi County Independent Special Olympics Team.

DEMO inc

WILLMAR — The DEMO inc annual fundraising auction and raffle will begin at 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 27, at the Willmar Education and Arts Center rehearsal hall in Willmar. Food and coffee available, auction page updated daily at www.demo-inc.org and click on “fundraising” page.

Brew Ha Ha 5.0

WILLMAR — The United Way of West Central Minnesota and Empower: Women United present Brew Ha Ha 5.0 at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 1, at the Barn Theatre to benefit the Imagination Library program. Beer and wine sampling, appetizers and a show by comedian Mark Poolos at 8 p.m. Tickets are $35 online at liveunitedwcm.org.

New London-Spicer Area Fund

NEW LONDON — The New London-Spicer Area Fund has opened its grant round to fund programs for projects that fit within the categories of arts, healthy communities and lifestyles, environment and large-scale and sustainable initiatives. E-quip Africa

WILLMAR — E-quip Africa in Willmar is accepting newer, smaller computers such as laptops and slim or compact desktops which are easier to ship. All computers need their original power supplies, cords, keyboards and mice and be in good working condition. They need to be Windows machines running Windows 7, 8.1 or 10. Blue Star Mothers

WILLMAR — Blue Star Mothers Willmar Chapter 1 meets on the third Thursday of each month at the Willmar Army Reserve. The parents of military meet for support and to pack boxes to send to deployed troops. They are collecting snacks, hygiene products, paperback novels and notes to be included in the packages. Donation boxes are available at Heritage Bank and the Willmar Army Reserve. If you would like the group to include someone you know who is deployed, send the name and address to Blue Star Mothers, Box 206, Pennock, MN 56279, along with your contact phone number.

Habitat for Humanity

WILLMAR — Habitat for Humanity of West Central Minnesota ReStore is accepting donations of building materials, large appliances, furniture and more. All donations must be approved by staff before acceptance. Donations can be brought to 2424 First Street South in Willmar between 11 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, and 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Saturday.
