PENNOCK — The Pennock Lions will serve a benefit pancake breakfast from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 6, at the Pennock Fire Hall for Mitchel Swanson, Jackie Vandesteeg and Atley. The young couple lost their house and all belongings to a house fire on Aug. 30. Freewill donation.

WILLMAR — E-quip Africa in Willmar is accepting newer, smaller computers such as laptops and slim or compact desktops which are easier to ship. All computers need their original power supplies, cords, keyboards and mice and be in good working condition. They need to be Windows machines running Windows 7, 8.1 or 10. Blue Star Mothers
WILLMAR — Blue Star Mothers Willmar Chapter 1 meets on the third Thursday of each month at the Willmar Army Reserve. The parents of military meet for support and to pack boxes to send to deployed troops. They are collecting snacks, hygiene products, paperback novels and notes to be included in the packages. Donation boxes are available at Heritage Bank and the Willmar Army Reserve.
